Hey Family,

Long time no hear. Just getting back on track after the 2007 Soul Siesta in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic this past Memorial Day Weekend.  If you are looking for a mature event for the urban professional traveler...this is the event for you!!! We will be doing it again next year... so make sure you save the dates. May 23 - May 27, 2008. We have a bunch of pictures we are getting ready to put on our site in the next few weeks, so you can see the beautiful people who came and all the fun we had. So now I'm just counting down the days until next year!!!! By the way, I got a chance to live one of my childhood dreams and get on the Wheels of Steel this year. The power to make people bop their heads and dance is awesome. Plus all the ladies love a good DJ. But I gotta thank  DJ Ice  for letting me spin for a minute. But I don't think I should quit my day job!!!! But just to let you all know... my favorite DJ rocked the DR again!!!! You wanna dance.... DJ Ice will make you dance!!

On more of a serious note, the Relay for Life Cancer Walk is this weekend and our team is still trying to raise money. I know you all would love to hear me ramble some more... but unfortunately, I have a tremendous amount of catching up to do.  I was supposed to launch AsOneOnline.com already, but I'm a little behind schedule... so now I have to work like a madman!!!!! A MADMAN I TELL YOU!!!!!! But we do have some exciting things coming up so stay tuned.

In the meantime, just a friendly reminder to make sure as a community we make a conscious effort to support black businesses, organizations, events and initiatives.  Make sure we continue to share information wit each other. no longer can we depend on others to support and empower our community, we must do it ourselves. It is not necessary for us to be anti any other race, but it's very important that we become PRO BLACK!!!!
